| humboldt county - Veggie oil or diesel, solar powered bus (Northern California) $9000 2008-09-14 This is a completely custom 40 ft flat nose school bus that is now changed into rv status so insurance is super cheep. I pay around 450 a year but it's much cheeper if you don't have a speeding ticket in the last three years. It runs off of diesel or veggie oil. I just got back from a trip to alaska in it and did 4000 miles out of the 6500 on veggie oil. It has a secondary tank for veggie oil that holds 45 gallons and a heat exchanger inside the tank as well as a heat exchanger and filter right before the engine. It has a 135 watt kyeorcera solar panel with a morning star charger controler and a 750 watt husky inverter that I use for power. That runs most anything i need including a tv, vcr, radio, lamps, and water pump for the shower and sink. The sink is hooked up but I haven't had time to hook up the shower. Everything is there and ready to hook up I just haven't had the time. I was comercial fishing in Alaska so I couldn't finish it. I installed a kitchen with cabinets and a three burner Magic chef stove and oven that runs off propane. I've used it for a year and still have a half a tank of propane left. Theirs a 350 gallon onboard water tank for showers and the sink. I put it inside so it won't freeze in the winter. I also installed a custom built fire place that keeps it warm in the winter. I spent last winter in it in Wyoming and at -15 degrees with a windchill factor of -35 it was still 90 degrees on th inside. I've insulated the walls of the bus with r13 and wired it with romex so you can plug into an exterior outlet in the back and have power through out the bus. I need a different inverter to power all the outlets and light's as the one I have is not intended for multiple power outlets. I priced an inverter for around $220 that would take care of that. I've framed in the windows so it's more like a cabin on the inside. It has a bed in the back that is off the ground so it has plenty of storage underneath. It comes with tools as well that are underneath the bed that include a chainsaw, 300 piece ratchet and multi tool set, a 18 volt Rigid drill that's brand new, a few hand saws, a floor jack, two jack stands, and a few more items as well. I've been told by quite a few diesel machanics that the engine (an international DT466) should have a 500,000 mile range without any problems so it is just broke in at 202,000. I purchased it from a school in Lexington Ky, and they installed all new fuel line and air system that year I bought it. It has a homeade canoe rack on top so I carry a canoe with me. The canoe is a family item so I can't get rid of it. The canoe rack and multiple ratchet straps with extras will go with it. It has wood laminate floors in the living room and and carpet in the bedroom, a couch in the living room as well, blinds on most of the windows, and curtains in the bedroom. It's not completely finished theirs a few projects left but defintatly liveable as I have lived in it the past year and a half. I'm sure that their is a few things that I'm forgetting so feel free to call and ask questions. It's a great first home. I've also installed a metal door like the one in your normal house with a deadbolt as apposed to the normal bus door. I'm only selling it because I've aquired some debt and I have a great chance to travel South America with a friend doing a documentary for the Discovery channel so I need to sell it by November. I'm currently in Tahoe and will be driving to Arcata in a week. If you are on the way or close I can deliver it to you or possibly deliver it later on if you are between Northern Cali and Mexico. Theirs a 350 gallon onboard water tank for showers and the sink. I put it inside so it won't freeze in the winter. I also installed a custom built fire place that keeps it warm in the winter. I spent last winter in it in Wyoming and at -15 degrees with a windchill factor of -35 it was still 90 degrees on th inside. I've insulated the walls of the bus with r13 and wired it with romex so you can plug into an exterior outlet in the back and have power through out the bus. I need a different inverter to power all the outlets and light's as the one I have is not intended for multiple power outlets. I priced an inverter for around $220 that would take care of that. I've framed in the windows so it's more like a cabin on the inside. It has a bed in the back that is off the ground so it has plenty of storage underneath. It comes with tools as well that are underneath the bed that include a chainsaw, 300 piece ratchet and multi tool set, a 18 volt Rigid drill that's brand new, a few hand saws, a floor jack, two jack stands, and a few more items as well. I've been told by quite a few diesel machanics that the engine should have 500,000 mile range without any problems so it is just broke in at 202,000. I purchased it from a school in Lexington Ky, and they installed all new fuel line and air system that year I bought it. It has a homeade canoe rack on top so I carry a canoe with me. The canoe is a family item so I can't get rid of it. The canoe rack and multiple ratchet straps with extras will go with it. It has wood laminate floors in the living room and and carpet in the bedroom, a couch in the living room as well, blinds on most of the windows, and curtains in the bedroom. It's not completely finished theirs a few projects left but defintatly liveable as I have lived in it the past year and a half. I'm sure that their is a few things that I forgetting so feel free to call and ask questions. It's a great first home. I've also installed a metal door like the one in your normal house with a deadbolt as apposed to the normal bus door. I'm only selling it because I've aquired some debt and I have a great chance to travel South America with a friend doing a documentary for the Discovery channel so I need to sell it by November. I'm currently in Wyoming and will be driving to Northern California in a week. | humboldt county - 1986 Eldorado for sale. (Fortuna) $2000 2008-09-01 It Passed smog in October. Tags and insurance are current. Four adults lived in here for about ten months, with three dogs. It runs fine but, we only drove it from Fortuna to Eureka two or three times. Most everything works, roof needs miner attention. I paid $3500 for it.
