I purchased the bike new from JT Motorsports(http://www.crotchrocket.com/) in Jonesboro, AR in March of 2000. The has a built in AM/FM Stereo and Intercom system, connections for factory 6-disc CD changer and CB radio, and Kennedy Technology FRS Radio connections for bike to bike communication. I recently replaced the stock windscreen with an aftermarket Cee Bailey's windscreen that is 4" taller and 4" wider than the stock one. The bike has a new battery and abrand new Avon Venom R rear tire. I added a Honda Line luggage rack on the trunk, and Kuryakyn chrome forward extension pegs. This bike has been adult owned and ridden by an experienced rider. This is a great bike and I wish I could keep it, I bought the bike because I love to ride long distance and the large backseat and back rest was great for my wife. Now my wife has gotten to busy to ride with me so I've decided to downsize to something different. As you can see from the pictures this bike speaks for itself!! It has a yoshimura pipe, jetted, K&N air filter, fully polished frame, polished wheel lips, chrome levers and other little things. Mine has pearl white paint with prizm flames on fenders, and gas tank. Windshield and passenger back rest. Front floor boards and crash bars with cruiser pegs. Front tire has less than 400 miles, back has about 1000. I am not wanting to sell this bike. I would like to trade with no money involved. I dont care if you have an older than mine bike. | jonesboro - 1980 Yamaha Maxim 650 (Paragould) $600 2008-09-12 This is a Yamaha Maxim 650 it does run just needs the carbs cleaned. It has new tires, 4 into 1 exhaust, king and queen seat with no tears or frays, it has both side covers, burgundy in color, I got it because I wanted a bigger bike but decided to keep the one that I have because I have put way too much in it and I would never get my money back on it so I am selling this one for what I have in it. It would make someone a really good bike either as a starter bike or just a daily driver. I did drain the oil in it but it takes 10w40 just haven't put it back in yet. Was going to fix it up to ride just haven't had the time or need with having others to ride. Maybe this will clear up some questions, i bought this bike and it had been sitting up for about a year, and the gas had overflowed into the carbs then into the motor and that is why i drained the oil, i cleaned the tank and while cleaning the carbs i broke the stem that holds the float on, so I had a 750 parts bike and put those carbs on there, it would flood out, so the dealer told me that the jets were too big, so the only thing you would have to do is either get some 650 carbs, or get the jets to fix the carbs that are on it. When I put the 750 carbs on it, it would start and drive down the road but due to the flooding out it would not gain much speed or have much power. But it does run and runs strong. The reason that this bike is so cheap is because I am leaving someone some room for error and not be too much money in the bike. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. Thanks |
