| birmingham - Rare Late Model Triumph Cafe Bike (Pinson, AL) $4500 2008-10-01 This is a rare 1997 Triumph Sprint Sport. Only 250 bikes of this particular model were shipped to the US in 1997 and this bike was in production for only two years. However, most parts are readily available as many parts can interchange from the 900cc Sprints to the Trophies for several years. This bike includes the Sprint Executive higher handle bars with Gen Mar handle bar raisers, a hand made Corbin seat and stock seat, higher touring windscreen and stock screen, after market front turn signals that blend in with the bike's fairing profile. I added a center stand from a Trophy. It also has very nice Yoshamara after market pipes that give the bike a sound like no other bike. It has more soul/character than an inline four and is more powerful and smooth than most stock v-twins. I have owned this bike since 1999 and driven across country three times on it and have never had any mechanical problems with the bike. The Sprint Sport was very comfortable with plenty of passing power on the highway and a blast in the twisty mountain roads. The Sprint Sport has around 32,000 miles. I hate to sell her but too many bikes and a move back to Portland are forcing a sale. I will only sell to US funds. Buyer is responsible for pick up. There is no warranty for the bike and it is sold as is. The bike is in great shape for an eleven year old bike. There is a scratch on the clutch cover from a garage tip over, the fairing has a small piece missing from it from road debris but it is on the lower inside section and cannot be seen unless you really look for it. Hi-Comp Pistons & Web150i Cams installed by FCP (Flynt's Custom Performance) Clutch set up: Currently has Red secondary from when I had the 29's on it, I have on the shelf a Maroon Primary/Black Secondary that are the right springs for the 26's. Oil has been changed after every ride where I was in nasty mud or deep water, just to be safe. Since the motor work I've run nothing but Royal Purple in it. Also comes with Primary clutch puller tool, 2" HL Lift kit, Stock exhasut, stock CVT and Airbox peices removed for snorkels. Only blemish on the plastics are some small groves on the left side where the pull rope burned into it when I was trying to pull start it.
