Never had any problems, Compression on both cylinders is strong at 160psi, stock i believe is 165psi. Last summer i rode next to a Sitdown jet to clock the top speed and it does 50mph in slightly choppy water. This was due to some modifications to the drive. 13-17 SKat Impeller, WORX intake grate, UMI turn plate, with UMI 0 degree bars, ODI grips, Pole was shortened by 3.5" and has UMI pole spring, and blowsion chin cover. Jetski Cover is also included with the jet. Here is the video of the ski running, the noise you hear is the jet cone nossle rattling, its not loose just rattles like that on most skies. Runs good just need the pads reinstalled and the chin bumper installed. The Silver one (1987) has a 50 over motor that should be done in 2 weeks (Gary at Northern Automotive is building it) It will need to have the motor re-installed and a CDI box and regulator installed. The blue one (1987) is straight parts. Everything is on it but most of the engine is not there. Silver and Orange are currently registered and I have the title in hand. A lot of people that saw this boat in the water asked me if it was for sale, well, now it is time to depart. It is a head turner and a starter for conversations at the pier. I bought this boat 3 years ago as part of a state sale, it sat in a hangar for 15 years unused. Max speed is around 9 knots. It is powered by a 80 HP inboard Chrysler, gasoline. It is a 4 cylinder and very economic. It has new aluminum gas tanks, new bimini and many other improvements. It is very rare to find one of those in a trailer. It is a great fishing or picnic boat. We have used in many lakes in CA and had a blast. It can pull up a teenager on a kneeboard, but no skys. It is not built for speed, but for being economic to run and safe. The cabin is small, but great for storage or a nap, but the most important is a porta-poti. Lots of teak all around. 18' long and 8' wide. Also has a mast, boom and a sail, but I've never used it. More pics available upon request. This is not a project boat, it is in excellent shape and ready for water. Boat will not be available during the weekend as I will be travelling.
