- Challenger Bass Boat/Merc 150hp Black Max (Monrovia) $700
I bought this boat recently as a fixer upper. It is a 2 owner. The original owner and the most recent owner were both friends of mine. In 2003, the boat was in Auburn, Al. The impeller quit working and the motor overheated. The owner didn't want to take a chance on the motor and immediatly parked it. It has sat since 2003 until a few months ago. I bought it, serviced the axles, bought new tires, and brought it home.
I pulled the heads off, and the heads looked fine. They were not warped and the motor spins over easily. The transom seems to be solid and there is only one soft spot in the floor which is easy to fix, though I admit that I haven't experimented with it or looked very deep into it, hence the reason I am selling it as parts only.
However, I have bought another boat and don't have time for a project. Looking for what I have in it, which is $700. Money talks.

The Mercury Black Max 150hp seems to be in good shape, spins freely. Wiring is in fairly good shape.
The trailor axles are in great shape and recently greased.
The trailor has BRAND new ties.
The boat has new tie downs
The clearcoat is nearly gone, but the gelcoat is in decent shape.
Hull is in good shape, however, considering the age, I am selling it for motor parts only, hence the cheap price. The tires alone were over $200.
I do not have the seats.

I have a Glastron Sea Fury that I purchased as a project boat about 2 years ago. Through all the research I have done, I can only find that this model was manufactured around 1978. It is a tri-hull with the walk through windshield. Very pretty - blue and silver.
As I stated above, it was a project boat. It does float but the engine needs a distributor in order for it to run properly. We did start replacing the carpet, so it has partial new carpet in it. Since I have been become sick, I have not been able to work on it and I will not be able to in the future.
If you are interested in the boat, please let me know. It does come with the trailer and 2 new tires.
