1996 OFFSHORE TRAWLER, RISING WOLF was conceived for cruising around the world. She is equipped and built to be easily managed and much safer than other yachts. With one of the world's finest diesel engines along with a separate get home engine that can be used for maneuvering. RISING WOLF has over a 4,000 mile range and it is completely self-sufficient She boasts a top quality varnished white English oak interior and a virtually maintenance free Awlgrip exterior making her very desirable Launched new in 1996, RISING WOLF has a heavily reinforced commercial steel hull and superstructure. Built by Offshore Steel Boats in the English Channel Islands. Offshore is a well know commercial builder known for building offshore commercial boats for the North Atlantic . The decks are made of laid teak over steel. RISING WOLF sleeps eight in three ensuite cabins as well as a bunk in the pilothouse.There are three watertight bulkheads: the first is found aft of the chain locker and the second and third are located forward and aft of the engine room. Full length bilge keels and steel fixed wing extensions provides excellent, low-maintenance stability. RISING WOLF also features state of the art plumbing, electrial, and engine room systems including a state of the art engine room ventilation system with 2 reversible turbine ducted fans. Engine room ventilation is achieved through openings at the top of RISING WOLF's fidly. Most of these items were new as of 2000/2001 as a part of the major refit. RISING WOLF has a spacious aft deck with teak walk around side decks and high steel bulwarks. Also on the main deck are the galley, salon and wheelhouse. The lower deck features a large bright white Awlgrip painted engine room. The 8L3B Gardner has been lovingly maintained with all exterior componets rebuilt in 2001. Aft of the engine room, through a large water tight bulkhead door, is a 10x16 ft. lazarette that is full air conditioned and heated.;AFT DECK: Fully surrounded by hand rails and bulwarks, this area is spacious (10' x 16'). There are four captains chairs which fold, and Bose music speakers, flood lights, deck lighting, hailer, and a hot and cold shower. A main hatch on pneumatic risers takes you to a large aft lazarette/hold with has ample storage and full laundry (See Lazarette). Twin deck boxes which contain tender fuel,CO2 control, and miscellaneous in the other. The transom door leads to a fold-up, lightweight transom platform aft. SIDE DECKS are wide and teak leading past exit sidegates, fuel and waterfills: these include black and grey pump-outs, tank breathers and firehose. There are side doors to allow passage to the salon, accomodations, wheelhouse and engine room as well as a ladder to the boat deck. | |||
