1927 CUSTOM TUG/YACHT, This Tug/Yacht design was custom built for the Skinner Corporation by Ted Geary. Built of wood in Port Blakely, Bainbridge Island on Washington's Puget Sound, this yacht was finished in 1927. The vessel has undergone a major refit from 1996 throught 2003. Here 165 tons speaks to her stout construction. She has a forward guest double with head and shower with residential quality fixtures. There is also a complete laundry area forward with washer, dryer and plenty of storage. Just aft of the forward guest, accessed from the deck is a 100 bottle wine cellar. The main deck has the roomy dinette, galley, salon and master cabin, forward to aft. The galley has an oil burning stainless steel range for cold weather cooking, and a propane cooktop when you don't wish to warm the boat. The pilothouse is the deck above with the original 4' helm wheel, 8 gimballed compass but new electronics like the 48 mi. Furuno Radar, 24 mi. Raytheon 20XX radar, GPS, VHF and more. There's a desk and captains berth aft of the helm, in the wheelhouse. The boat deck has a davit and 14' Smokercraft with 8 hp Outboard. While the boat is a great liveaboard for a couple, it is not a fixer-upper . She'll cruise 8 knots all day on 6 gallons per hours and with 3000 gallons of fuel this translates to 3500 NM range with a 500 mile reserve. | |||
